Born and raised in China, Zhi moved to the United States in 2011 to further her education in fashion design. She received her BFA in Fashion Design and Construction from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2015.
Inspired by the complex interplay between contemporary social relationships and individual psychology, Zhi's work aims to convey messages of liberation and self-realization through various mediums. Her designs evoke a sense of comfort and introspection, inviting the viewer to reflect on their experiences and relationship with the world around them.
In 2021, Zhi began exploring the CMF (Color, Material, and Finish) field, bringing a fresh and innovative perspective to her artistic practice. Her work now showcases the dynamic interaction between materials and colors, further elevating her unique aesthetic vision.
